The Henie Onstad Kunstsenter is a Norwegian art museum, sculpture park, and performance center. The museum was founded in 1968 by figure skater, Hollywood star, and businesswoman Sonja Henie and her husband Niels Onstad. Due to his financial success in the shipping industry and personal interest in art, Onstad had purchased a large collection of modern and contemporary art that became the basis of the museum.

Among others, highlights of the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter include art by Kurt Schwitters, a collection of works by noted Fluxus artists, and a room dedicated to the career of founder Sonja Henie. The museum also features several examples of modern Norwegian design through its interior and exterior architecture. By doing this, museum’s appearance exhibits a distinctly Norwegian style. Finally, if hungry, visitors should sample the exquisite food and wine at Bølgen & Moi restaurant before leaving the museum.
