Located in the heart of Transylvania, in Sibiu, Romania, ASTRA National Museum Complex consists of multiple collections all with ethnographic content. The open-air museum, one of the biggest in Europe, presents buildings from many regions of the country, but is primarily focused on Transylvania. As a living museum, it also hosts various traditional ceremonies and festivals while exhibiting folk costumes, embroideries and ceramics. The museum also features collections such as the Emil Sigerus and Franz Binder ones, which are located in a historical building in Small Square.
