In an initiative to bring nature back into the city of Seoul, the Cheonggye stream has become a cultural hub for many locals and tourists alike through art and nature. Starting in Cheonggye Plaza in Gwanghwamun, the Cheonggyecheon is a 10.9 kilometer long urban space in the downtown core of Seoul lined with art installations and murals. The history behind this space has been a spotted one, with political strife and historical significance, but it has persevered and become a staple in the lives of Seoul’s public.
