Located only seven kilometers away from the capital of Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, in a little town called Tafira Alta, there is a magical place sinking in green. Here, you can find all kinds of flora that grow on the seven Canary Islands. Since it opened for public in 1959, Botanical Garden Viera y Clavijo has been constantly working to popularize and show the rich vegetation of the archipelago, as well as actively working in the nature preservation sector.
